Back in 2008, a friend of ours played for a team that took part in a televised competition were they failed badly, and was humiliated due to a lack of tactical planning and teamwork before they played their matches. This wasn’t because they were bad players at all, but the fact that they just had no understanding as a team and lost the plot as soon as they entered the field of play.

What the team really needed was some kind of solution where all the players could meet up on the internet and develop a set of strategies in real-time together. This is when the concept of an internet based Tactics board was born.

Just about every member of the development team here at stratboard.com have previously been involved in situations similar to the one mentioned in the previous paragraph, where there joined teams have lacked an understanding during play. So we all understand the vision this project wants to achieve, and what it can do. This is our goal to provide a solution where teams can do exactly that.

In this day and age, an internet based collaboration solution is not just a nice to have but a requirement of modern day competitive activities. A system is needed to be made available to everyone all over the world to allow teams of any magnitude whether it’s a team of two players or a larger clan to effectively be able to create; manage and deploy their tactics together as a unit in real-time no matter where the geographic boundaries are. Also, once a tactical strategy has been created, there has to be a secure facility to be able to store it for future use.

Therefore, over the past eighteen months, we have been working hard on a project to deliver exactly that. We have developed www.stratboard.com not only to meet with all the tactical planning demands a player or team requires but also has the added benefit of being able to store team tactics and strategies in a safe and secure environment ready to be deployed by any permitted member of the team.
